This brief guide will explain how to enable PTC Creo to work in 3D Stereo with the moreStereo3D Software.
The guide is designed to be brief and yet covering all needed steps to enable PTC Creo to work in 3D Stereo. This is a one-time setup and not needed to be repeated once setup properly.

I. Configure Creo

1) Open your PTC Creo installation folder. Open the subdirectory “Common Files”, next open the next subfolder named M0x0 (replace “x” with a number; e.g. M030) and finally open the subfolder “text”. The complete path could look close to this: C:\Program Files\Creo\Creo 2.0\Common Files\M030\text

2) Open the file named “config.pro” with a text editor of your choice.

3) Add a new line to the document. Write “graphics opengl”

II. Prepare the 3D Stereo Plugin

4) Please install moreStereo3D and update your Direct-X runtime.

5) Start moreStereo3D

6) Right click the moreStereo3D Tray Icon (next to your system time) and select “more3D Stereo Enabler”

7) Click the “Locate known Apps” Button. The more3D stereo enabler will search the folders “C:\Program Files” and “C:\Program Files (x86)” for your PTC Creo installation.

In case you have installed PTC Creo into a non-standard installation directory, please continue with step 5). If the more3D Stereo Enabler found your PTC Creo installation properly, please continue on step 11)

8) Click the “Add Application” Button.

9) Navigate to your PTC Creo installation directory. Open your PTC Creo installation folder. Open the subdirectory “Common Files”, next open the next subfolder named M0x0 (replace “x” with a number; e.g. M030) and open the subfolder “x86e_win64” (for 64-Bit Versions. 32-Bit Versions might be called x86e_win32). Lastly open the folder named “obj”.

The complete path could look close to this:
C:\Program Files\Creo\Creo 2.0\Common Files\M030\x86e_win64\obj

10) Select the file “xtop.exe” and press “Open”.

11a) Please set “Application Version” to “Win32” for a 32-Bit version of  PTC Creo; set  “Graphic Library” to “openGL” and check the “Enabled”-Checkbox. Press “Save and Close”.
